Care and Maintenance

Like any other well-loved notebook, our notebooks stand up to regular daily use. But here's a few tips for common issues that may arise.

Fraying

Fabric covers will fray with use, especially along the edges. Like a pair of ripped jeans, some people like that look, and others don't.

If loose pieces appear, snip — don't pull — using a sharp pair of scissors. Some also use Fray Check or other liquid seam sealants to prevent fraying from happening.

Separation

Our cover fabrics are combined with a duck cloth to give it extra thickness. If the two fabrics begin to separate, you can simply use an iron set to medium heat setting to rejoin the two pieces.

Important: When ironing, fold the cover back so that only the cover is under the heat, and not the paper.

Loose Stitching

Our notebooks are handstitched with waxed thread — sometimes it can come apart under heavy use, but can be easily retied.
